MICHAEL KEATON
1989 suit design

This 12 1/2 inch custom was a labor of love.
As anybody who knows me will attest, I have wanted a decent figure version of the very first Keaton Batman ever since I started collecting the many vinyl kits from 1989 and from the later movies.

I've had both versions of the very rare 12" Billiken kits and had finished the one holding the gun long ago. However, I still had in unfinished form, the remaining original kit, that had Batman just sort of standing there, and also had an extra cowl from the gun kit, waiting to do this very figure.

He is fully posable on a new Dragon figure body and has posable hands and a posable neck allowing for head movement. All the armor plates ride loosely on top of a spandex suit that allows for total mobility and action.  His cape has a leather quality and has rods for the outspread "winged" poses I have wanted in him for so long.

So, now, after years of putting it off, is my homage to one of my all-time favorite movie characters.  Enjoy

NOTE: This figure is dear to my heart, and is NOT FOR SALE!

I have since repainted the face and belt on this figure for even greater accuracy so note the yellow belt (rather than gold toned) and a better face likeness, especially in the eyes...
