Herein lies the realm of that mischievous traveling Timelord known as
THE DOCTOR!

To be a tad more specific....

THE NINTH DOCTOR

I remember first watching the good Doctor on TV back in the seventies, back when the third Doctor was portrayed by Jon Pertwee.
I again saw some episodes in the mid Eighties, while in college, and I saw reruns of the Tom Bakers, and later series, which I really enjoyed also.

It wasn't until recently, that I began again with the newer BBC series that stars Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper as Rose, that really has taken me back aboard the Tardis again for all the fun times I remembered those many years ago.

So, I begin my custom collection of all things Who, with none other than my favorite, the Ninth Doctor, and to immortalize him in 12" figure form.

I made this figure with the help of a buddy in England, Martin Gainsford, a really big Who fan, who graciously sent me a rubber head of Eccelston from a Dr. Who walkie talkie.
I then reworked that head and gave him a neck, painted that up with as much detail as I could, then added the appropriate costuming, and of course, added an accessory,
his trusty, if slightly too large, Sonic Screwdriver,
which I custom fashioned from metal bits and parts,
and I was in business!

And what good would the new Doctor be without ROSE TYLER as played by Billie Piper? In a lot worse shape I tell ya!

I made her from a Sideshow base body and added hair and some minor details like earrings and other bits.
Now, the Doctor can truly go on his adventures in style!

Welcome aboard the TARDIS Rose.

Needless to say, I dedicate these figures to Martin,
and to any and all fans of the Doctor out there...

Speaking of Martin,
here is a Hasbro Peter Cushing head I adapted
into a 1960's movie Dr. Who for him...
