This is my favorite Predator design from all the films so far... the best
of the original Predator, with a bit more character and visual interest.

FINALLY! I get the Predator I have been waiting for!
Now, THIS is a Predator!
Basically, the original movie's costume design, but with an older slant and with
less weaponry, and a LOT more attitude.
Got this guy in, and 15 years of ideas, and rehearsal with other kits and figures
came pouring out to what you see now.
I cannot say enough about Hot Toys and their amazing 1/6 movie figure lines.
This figure takes the cake though. What an amazing job they have done. I am honored to have one, and very glad to be able
to share mine with you now.

I would like to dedicate this figure to the memory of actor Kevin
Peter Hall, who portrayed this Predator, as well as the main Preds from both first movies,
Predator 1 & 2.
You are missed!

I have wanted to paintup a Predator 2, since meeting film artistsan Steve Wang
in L.A. in 1995. We spoke of how the Predator 2 film design team came up with a fire and burnt/aged metal pattern for this
version of the movie monster, and I have dreamed of having a chance to paint it in large enough scale ever since.
I had painted him once before, on a 1/9th scale styrene kit that I no longer
have, so this was a much anticipated event for me. I had put off painting a classic Argonauts P2 vinyl model kit for years,
and this posable Hot Toys figure was definately worth the wait!!!
To those of you that don't have these awesome
figures yet, GET SOME!
These are the REAL DEAL! Second to none! Worth every penny!
(Now, if HT will ever make a P1!!!)

PREDATOR 1 & custom PREDATOR ELDER
The Predator 1 is the 1/6 scale Billiken vinyl kit that I've had since the early
90's and the Elder is the toy version of the same produced about 1995. I repainted the toy into an elder to have some variety
between the two.
I have reworked both to a great extent, including adding dreads and facial spines
and accessories.
I had the great opportunity to meet film art designer and director Steve Wang
when I went to L.A. to the Mad Model Party II in 1995 and had Steve look at my Predator 1 model. He had helped desgn and paint
the original movie costume and his tips helped me to make my models way more accurate than any book or other source had.
I must share the secret that the original Predator paint scheme was based
in part on a banana, with brown spots and all. Steve said it was a tropical thing. Loved that. That tip helped me out a bunch.
